Reverend Greville Thomas welcomed Sudbury residents to the St. Andrew’s Church annual Summer Fete on Saturday, 24th June.
Residents were invited to indulge in a range of cuisines from around the world – or cool down with an ice cream – while enjoying performances from a local Northolt band, on the lawn, and dancers from the Brent Punjabi Association, inside the church.
Attendees tried their luck on the Tombola, where prizes ranged from children’s toys to adults’ drinks, and the raffle, which helped raise £1200 towards the work of St Andrew’s. Reverend Thomas would like to thank everyone who donated prizes to the fete.
Representatives from the Sudbury Police Neighbourhood Team, Wembley Fire Brigade and STRA were there to engage with the community and address people’s questions and concerns.
STRA volunteers manned a stall and used the opportunity to recruit new members and inform residents about the positive work STRA has been doing in the local area.
