BIG BOOST FOR SUDBURY TOWN
In a drive for a better Sudbury Town a local Cafe at 777 Harrow
Road Sudbury has been renamed as Sudbury Tea Rooms at the suggestion from members of Sudbury Town Residents Association. www.stra.org.uk
The opening of the newly named Sudbury Tea Rooms was celebrated by members of the Association together with the Olympic Torch brought by Ainsley Bell, son of Alton & Marva Bell who run
a popular youth club at the nearby Methodist Church Harrow Road Sudbury and local Councillors.
Also on hand for the celebrations were supporters of the Barham
Volunteer Library who have set up one of their 'Book Stops' at the cafe and
supplied a collection of books. Local residents will be able to pop into the
cafe for a selection of great teas/coffees, cakes and meals and borrow a
book free of charge.
Alex (pictured above with the torch bearer Ainsley ) owner of the newly renamed Sudbury Tea Rooms said "It is a great privilege to be working with Sudbury Town Residents Association and to have the
opportunity to support and be of service to the local community".
One of the first people to borrow a book from the Barham Library Book Stop was Kamli Kaul daughter of the Renu Kaul Vice Chair of the Residents Association, Kamli is pictured below with Cllr
Paul Lorber holding the book. Renu said "Our Residents Association is keen to build a partnership
between local people and local businesses in Sudbury Town and to improve the area for the benefit of the whole community".
